Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a supportive and structured learning environment
  • Deliver adapted and engaging lessons to students with SEMH needs
  • Use effective behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and therapists to meet EHCP targets
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
  • Track progress and adapt teaching plans accordingly
  • Contribute to whole-school wellbeing and community initiatives

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (essential)
  • Experience teaching or supporting students with SEMH (preferred)
  • Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
  • A resilient, nurturing, and patient approach to teaching
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students facing complex challenges
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
  • Passion for helping students achieve both academically and personally
