Job Description

Are you a passionate Maths Teacher ready to take on a leadership role? A vibrant school in Essex is looking for a Teacher of Maths – Key Stage 3 Coordinator to join their team in September 2025.

This is a full-time, permanent position that includes a TLR2B allowance, reflecting the added responsibility of leading the Key Stage 3 Maths provision. You’ll shape the vision and direction of the KS3 curriculum, ensuring that students build a strong mathematical foundation and are well-prepared for future success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Maths teaching across KS3 and KS4
  • Lead on the design, delivery, and development of the KS3 Maths curriculum
  • Monitor student progress and implement effective interventions
  • Support and mentor colleagues teaching in lower school Maths
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department and SLT on strategic priorities
  • Promote positive attitudes towards Maths across the school community
  • Contribute to school life through clubs, events, and professional learning

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4
  • A track record of improving outcomes for students
  • Leadership potential or previous responsibility experience
  • Excellent subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
  • Strong organisational, communication, and team-working skills
  • Ambition to make a difference and inspire young learners
