Do you want to inspire the next generation of scientists? A School in Hackney is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2025.
This permanent role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience and subject specialism. The school has excellent facilities, a strong ethos of inclusion, and a committed staff body that supports both personal and professional development.
Whether your expertise lies in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, you’ll be encouraged to bring creativity and rigour to the classroom. ECTs are welcome and will receive full induction and mentoring support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Foster a love of inquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking
- Support students of varying abilities with differentiated teaching
- Maintain a safe and well-managed laboratory environment
- Track progress and provide regular feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and enrichment
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Science in a secondary school
- Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- ECTs welcome – full support provided
- A passion for science education and student success
